STRICTLY SEATTLE
We are on day three of our Seattle sojourn. What a fun city! We've been using public transportation to get from our campground in Kent and it couldn't be more convenient.
YES!!!

We logged a lot of miles just exploring the various neighborhoods and sampling the food, art and culture.
On Sunday we took the monorail to Seattle Center tourist headquarters... The museum of popular culture had a really cool wearable art exhibit.
A sketch by Jimi Hendrix
And a crazy guitar sculpture called "If 6 was 9" that played actual music using selinoid activated guitar picks.
The Chihuly Glass Garden was next up and it was impressive.
We also took a quick trip to The Henry Gallery @ University of Washington to see a retrospective of Senga Nengudi's work.
She is an LA based sculptor and dancer who in the 1970's -80's did work with improvisational dance, musicians and filmmakers. Now she has moved on to meditational video installations. Interesting work that harkened to a time.
We also stumbled into a magnificent reading room at the University library.
On our last day in Seattle we took the ferry to Bainbridge Island to check out the island life. We had a lovely lunch in a French restaurant and walked through some residential areas. It was a pleasant afternoon but now it is time to bid Seattle farewell and get ready for the Olympic Peninsula.
