LOS ANGELES
TO
DANA POINT
We drove to Los Angeles one day to tour the Getty Museum and visit Shelly and Ellen's cousin Marlene. We were invited for dinner and Lyor and Marlene cooked a feast. Cousins Howard, Maria, Marvin and Molly joined us for dinner. Thank you Molly for contributing these photos!!!
Thanks again Marlene and Lyor for your hospitality it was great to reconnect. We hope to see you down the road.
As for the Getty...
Designed by Richard Meier, the Getty Center complex is more than the sum of its parts. Italian travetine limestone, light, open spaces and modern curvilinear shapes create a beautiful setting high above the chaos of LA. The gardens were designed by Robert Irwin. The central garden is a festival of sound, smells and symmetry.
The art collection was great but the buildings and grounds were stunning and entry was free. ($15.00 for parking)
