MAJESTIC MOUNT RAINIER
We spent a glorious three days camped along the banks of the White River on the shoulders of Mt. Rainier.
After driving so quickly across from Chicago it felt good to stay put for a couple of days. We we enjoyed hanging out in camp and hiking the trails.
Deep woods trails followed the Ohanapecosh and White Rivers.
Moisture on a mushroom along the trail.
A frog hiding in the grass.
And the trees...
...sure grow big here!
But I was all about the alpine meadows on the higher slopes of the mountain. There was a profusion of wild flower bloom.
More on the mountain coming in the next post.
