A WEEK IN THE COUNTRY-
SEDONA PT. 2
Our second week in Sedona was relaxed. We camped on Oak Creek about 15 minutes south of town @ a lovely RV park called Lo Lo Mai. There were very few campers there - we hit a lull in an otherwise busy season. They told us summers until Thanksgiving are crazy. But this week it was quiet and beautiful.
The trails were quiet too. We hiked and biked -generally exploring trails that had been too crowded two weeks ago.
We took a bike ride along Bell Rock Pathway and rode the Big Park Loop.
A chance encounter in a trail head parking lot led us to our favorite hike of the week. The HiLine Trail is a double diamond bike trail - needless to say, we didn't bike it - but it was a very satisfying hike.

Yes, that's the trail
Another day we hiked a couple of popular trails in West Sedona. Both trails are hot spots for the famous "Sedona Vortex". Boynton Canyon is a box canyon lined with trees and red rock walls. Devils Bridge Trail meanders through a pinyon forest to a steep climb to a natural bridge.
